SEDCOE Symposium Drives Collaboration

The two-day event provided an excellent forum for sharing research achievements, showcasing emerging work through talks and posters, and further developing underpinning SEDCOE.

Through a series of engaging discussions and workshop activities, participants explored current challenges in effluent treatment and decontamination and identified opportunities for future collaborative research, helping to drive innovation and impact across the nuclear sector.

SEDCOE Academic Director, Prof Kath Morris said: "The SEDCOE partnership continues to develop exciting new underpinning research to support Sellafield Ltd. in their clean-up efforts. Further SEDCOE site-visits and workshop events are planned and we will keep the academic community updated via the Dalton Newsletter.鈥

SEDCOE Sellafield Director, Dr Alice Halman said: "The workshop events provide a great platform for collaboration between the Sellafield Ltd. and UoM鈥檚 effluent and decontamination community. With several PhDs already underway from previous events, we look forward to following their progress showcased at future events.鈥
